Municipal Court Functions

Adjudicate cases of misdemeanors, petty offenses and civil violations, such as of traffic and municipal ordinances
Set fines not otherwise established by City ordinance
Coordinate the administrative operations of the court
Provide official records of all case transactions, fines, fees, court costs and restitutions
Deposit fines and fees with the City Treasurer
Routinely render a detailed statement of imposed, collected and uncollected fines and fees
Oversee the retention requirements for Municipal Court records
Officiate wedding ceremonies upon request
Inform the City Clerk of all permanent personnel changes
Notify the Mayor of any proposed changes in employee job duties or responsibilities
