Municipal Court Functions
- Adjudicate cases of misdemeanors, petty offenses and civil violations, such as of traffic and municipal ordinances
- Set fines not otherwise established by City ordinance
- Coordinate the administrative operations of the court
- Provide official records of all case transactions, fines, fees, court costs and restitutions
- Deposit fines and fees with the City Treasurer
- Routinely render a detailed statement of imposed, collected and uncollected fines and fees
- Oversee the retention requirements for Municipal Court records
- Officiate wedding ceremonies upon request
- Inform the City Clerk of all permanent personnel changes
- Notify the Mayor of any proposed changes in employee job duties or responsibilities
