Biography of Kevin L. Gehman
Kevin reached the pinnacle of his law enforcement career when in 2008 he became Fallon's 19th Police Chief.
It began in 1984 at the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office in New York. Starting in law enforcement 10 days after his 21st birthday, Kevin worked his way through the agency, serving in patrol as a deputy and sergeant, spending several years as an undercover narcotics officer, and acting as Supervisor of the Drug Enforcement Unit and, later, Captain of the Patrol Division.
He is a graduate of the 224th session of the FBI National Academy, an intensive course of study for law enforcement professionals; and has obtained a graduate level certificate in criminal justice education from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of New York.
When not working, Kevin prefers spending time with his wife and two daughters still at home. He also has a son and daughter who live on their own on the East Coast. Kevin's passions include riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, dirt biking and other outdoor activities.
